Vegetation in the Jurassic period included ferns, horsetails,
conifers, bennettites, Pentoxylales and Caytoniales
Seed ferns (which dominated the Triassic flora) are
less common in the Jurassic period
The fern species included those in the genera Cladophlebis,
Hausmannia, Pachypteris and Dictyophyllum
Otozamites, with its cycad-like leaves, was common in
some of the older Jurassic floras in Queensland
Other rarer groups of plants include the Pentoxylales,
known for their beautiful stems
A riverine and swampy environment including conifers, ferns and horsetails.
